Stealers Stop Green at 22 Sunday, August 11th, 2024 After 22 games, Gregg Green had his hitting streak ended abruptly today by Cherry Hill at Tim Raines Stadium. The Knights right fielder failed to get a hit in 3 at-bats and his brief fling with fame has come to a halt. But Green seemed to care less -- it didn't matter as Kingwood took a 6-0 victory from the Stealers. Green didn't dwell on the streak saying, "It was good while it lasted. If it had to end, I'm glad it ended with a victory." Currently Green is batting .330 with 15 home runs, 74 RBIs and 66 runs scored. |
