River Chiefs Lose Wei-hong Jiao Friday, August 2nd, 2024 Earlier today, Chippewa center fielder Wei-hong Jiao had to leave the game against Victoria because of an injury. Team officials are reporting that he has a fractured hip and will miss 6 months of play. Jiao was hurt making a defensive play and was unable to continue playing. He will be evaluated this afternoon by team physicians. For the year Jiao is batting .224 with 6 home runs, 21 RBIs and 20 runs scored. |
