Du on Fire: 5-for-7 for New Orleans Friday, August 2nd, 2024 History in the making. That's what the fans at Old Bay Park got to see today, when New Orleans outplayed the Blue Claws 14-2. Bor-zeng Du of the Jedi Knights came to the plate 7 times and came away with a dynamite day as he exploded for 5 hits against Baltimore. In the postgame press conference the Baltimore skipper quipped to reporters, "Hey, we tried to get him out. We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the kitchen sink." Bor-zeng Du singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 6th, flied out in the 7th and singled in the 9th. So far this season, Du has recorded a .264 batting average with 33 hits, 2 home runs, 13 RBIs, 14 runs scored and a .308 OBP. |
