Winfield's Steve McBryde Injured Sunday, July 21st, 2024 The Warriors received bad news this morning. Steve McBryde will miss 8-9 months due to bone chips in his elbow. He sustained the injury in the Winfield-Coney Island game while throwing a pitch. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. "You can't help your team on the bench," McBryde sighed. "I'll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery." Taking a look at his season stats for 2024, McBryde has made 36 relief appearances, recorded 2 saves and compiled a 5-1 won-lost mark with a 2.08 ERA. In pitching 56.1 innings, he has totaled 64 strikeouts and 24 walks. |
