Oliver Dyke Out for 8 Months Wednesday, July 17th, 2024 Watching Oliver Dyke getting helped off the field today at Old Bay Park, fans of the Baltimore Blue Claws feared the worst. The news wasn't quite as bad as initially feared, but the starting pitcher will miss 8 months with a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. "We feel we've dodged a bullet. When you see a guy break down like that, you worry right away," a team spokesman said. Dyke suffered the injury throwing a pitch in the game against the Gnats. Dyke has a 0-4 season record so far.
