Great Week for Barrow's Wilson Ortíz Monday, July 8th, 2024 So far in his young career, Wilson Ortíz has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Buck O'Neil League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 22-year-old Barrow Frosties shortstop hit at a torrid .556 clip as he collected 10 hits in 18 at-bats, no home runs, 7 RBIs and 5 runs scored. Thus far this season in 43 games Ortíz is batting .331 with no home runs, 12 RBIs and 12 runs scored. He has 44 hits in 133 at-bats. |
