Today Jay Wood of the Baltimore Blue Claws had a sensational game against Winfield at Old Bay Park. He rifled base hits all over the ballpark in his team's 8-5 shellacking of the Warriors. In the postgame press conference he joked, "Heck, that's a week's worth of hitting for me and I did ,it all in one day. I guess I can take the rest of the week off. Right, skipper?" Jay Wood doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. For the season Wood is hitting .219, batted in 8 runs with no home runs and 18 runs scored. |
