Hisayuki Watanabe Hurt, Out of Action Sunday, June 23rd, 2024 Palm Beach Bums closer Hisayuki Watanabe left yesterday's game against the Brisbane Bush Wackers after suffering a torn labrum throwing a pitch. Watanabe was taken to the clubhouse for examination by team doctors. A team spokesman told BNN today Watanabe is expected to miss 7-8 months. This year Watanabe has made 20 relief appearances, pitched 26 innings, and fashioned a 1-0 record with a 7.96 ERA. He has recorded no saves, struck out 29, and allowed opposing clubs to hit .278 when he is on the hill. |
