Ramos Batters Houston Big Time
Thursday, June 13th, 2024
5 times is a charm -- at least in the world of baseball. When a player gets 5 or more hits in a game, he is honored in the record book. The latest honoree is Jesús Ramos of the Cherry Hill Stealers. Today he beat up their pitching to the tune of 5 hits in 6 at-bats, but it was the Houston Sting that salvaged a 16-12 victory at Tim Raines Stadium. "Ramos was a tough out today," the Houston manager said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure. I'm just glad we held everybody else in check and got the win." Speaking to the BNN writers, Ramos added, "It was a real good day for me individually, but not a good one for the team. No loss is a good one." Jesús Ramos singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 8th, singled in the 8th and flied out in the 11th.
Ramos is currently batting .277 with 5 home runs and 44 RBIs.
