Romero BOL's Best of the Week Monday, May 27th, 2024 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Buck O'Neil League, but last week Mario Romero of the New Orleans Jedi Knights reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Romero rocked opposing pitching for a .550 average (11-for-20), 4 home runs and 9 RBIs to come away with the award. Romero is presently batting .358 with 8 home runs, 35 runs scored and 40 RBIs.
