Reyes Goes on Rampage Against Frosties
Tuesday, May 21st, 2024
Today at Prefontaine Park Collin Reyes put on an impressive display of hitting -- the Eugene catcher tagged Barrow pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats, but his teammates were unable to capitalize on his batting spree and lost the game to the Frosties by the score of 6-5. "Hey, the loss takes some of the joy out of it, but I'll take it. 5-for-6 ain't bad in any league." Despite the terrific performance, Reyes remained somewhat somber. "Sure, I'm happy with my performance today," he was quoted as saying in the locker room, "But all that really matters in this game is that number in the win column. We just didn't get it done today." Collin Reyes hit an RBI single in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, doubled in the 9th and singled in the 11th.
A look at his current stats shows Reyes with a .253 average, 2 home runs, 18 RBIs and 11 runs scored. He has played in 43 games.
