Bums Conroy Suspended Sunday, April 21st, 2024 Palm Beach shortstop John Conroy was ejected in the game between the Bums and Seals for letting loose a profanity-laced tirade against the home plate umpire after some calls didn't go the way he wanted. Conroy was just as incensed after the game. "These guys are a joke. How can people expect to take this game seriously when you have games like this?" Conroy said in the locker room after the game. Now Conroy must face the consequences of this actions. League officials released this brief statement to the media: "We are regretful that Conroy has taken this to the level that it has reached. The league will not tolerate this type of conduct. Due to his actions during and after the game, the league is suspending him for 2 games." Thus far this season in 15 games Conroy is batting .125 with no home runs, 1 RBIs and 4 runs scored. He has 6 hits in 48 at-bats. |
