Sato Rips Whitewater for 5 Hits Tuesday, April 9th, 2024 It was a great day for him at Hipster Grounds, but not a good day for his team. Ichiro Sato of the Hipsters was unstoppable in today's 10-6 loss to the Whitewater Eagles. "Boy, I was on the mark today," the Austin center fielder said after the game. "All I had to do was swing, and I connected. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-for-6 won't hurt your batting average like 0-for-5 will. Losing the game is disappointing, but my hits at least gave us a chance." Ichiro Sato singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, was hit by a pitch in the 8th, hit an RBI single in the 9th and struck out in the 11th. This year Sato is batting .395 with 15 hits, 1 home run, 4 RBIs, no walks, .425 OBP and has scored 6 runs. |
