Dong Means Relief, Cy Young Award Winner Monday, October 30th, 2023 This year's winner of the prestigious Buck O'Neil League Cy Young Award is Qi-chen Dong of the Chippewa River Chiefs. This superb relief artist made no relief appearances and earned no saves. Dong struck out 232 in 193.1 innings and had a 18-3 record with a 2.75 ERA. Salvador Padilla of the New Orleans Jedi Knights finished second in voting, while Brandon Reid of the Chippewa River Chiefs finished third. |
