BOL Announces Best Pitcher for August

Any time a rookie makes a splash on the scene, it's got to be great for his career potential. Just ask Ernesto Rosales, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The Chippewa River Chiefs closer, 26, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .145 average and walked away with the Buck O'Neil League Pitcher of the Month award for August.
Rosales posted a 2-0 mark and a 0.00 ERA in 15 relief appearances. In 17 innings, he had 11 saves, 22 strikeouts, and 8 walks.
To date, Rosales has registered a 5-4 won-lost mark, has 56 relief appearances and rung up 33 saves. He has a 1.25 ERA and has allowed 31 hits over his 57.2 innings of work, struck out 74 batters and walked 27.
