Fukuda Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games Friday, August 25th, 2023 The Bethesda Hornets stopped the Cherry Hill Stealers today 6-5 and Shunso Fukuda was able to hit safely again. The Bethesda left fielder got 2 hits and ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20. Fukuda was excited after the victory and told the press, "I want to get a hit every time up. I want to get a hit every game I play. I want to win every game for the greatest fans in the world, Hornets fans!" Shunso Fukuda flied out in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, struck out in the 8th and flied out in the 10th. For the season Fukuda is hitting .263, batted in 74 runs with 9 home runs and 68 runs scored. |
