Alvarado Wins BOL's Best Bat Trophy Thursday, June 1st, 2023 Luis Alvarado is not used to being associated with Batter of the Month-caliber players, but today the Coney Island third baseman joined that select company when the Buck O'Neil League announced the results of May's voting. Alvarado totaled 38 hits, 16 walks, 2 home runs, 24 RBIs and 17 runs scored last month to put together a .384 batting average and .462 on-base percentage. This year Alvarado is batting .379 with 5 home runs. He has scored 29 runs and driven in 36. |
