Tyson Wins August Herrman League Pitching Crown Thursday, November 3rd, 2022 The Westside clubhouse staff referred to him as "the kid" this season. Next year Morgan Tyson will have to have a new nickname. He earned it after winning the 2022 August Herrman League Cy Young Award. Tyson made 35 starts this year, winning 21 and losing 5. He threw 205.2 innings, fanned 275, allowed 193 hits and 95 walks, while holding opposing teams to a .245 average as he logged an impressive 3.46 ERA.Alex Barnaby of the Beach City Seals finished second in voting, while Takayuki Hoshino of the Westside Road Warriors finished third. |
