BOL Best Hitter Trophy Goes to Higuchi Saturday, October 1st, 2022 When Narihira Higuchi stepped up to the plate in September, he did it with confidence and today he was honored with the Buck O'Neil League Batter of the Month award. The young New Orleans second baseman posted a .393 batting average with 6 home runs, 37 RBIs and scored 25 runs. Higuchi also worked pitchers for 12 walks to post a .439 on-base percentage. This season in 97 games, Higuchi has hit at a .344 clip with 97 hits, 14 home runs, 73 RBIs and 54 runs scored. |
