Iván Vázquez out 12 Months With Injury Monday, September 26th, 2022 Watching Iván Vázquez getting helped off the field today at The drakkar, fans of the Winfield Warriors feared the worst. The news wasn't quite as bad as initially feared, but the reliever will miss 12 months with a torn ulnar collateral ligament. "We feel we've dodged a bullet. When you see a guy break down like that, you worry right away," a team spokesman said. Vázquez suffered the injury throwing a pitch in the game against the Vikings. To date this year Vázquez has saved 0 games while tossing 90.1 innings. He has a 6.38 ERA, fanned 51 batters and made no relief appearances. |
