Lópes Goes on Rampage Against Hipsters
Monday, September 12th, 2022
There are moments in a player's career that they will not soon forget. Jesús Lópes of the Princes had one of those moments when he went 6 for 6 at the plate today, but he couldn't pull out the victory. Despite his hitting heroics, Bel Air fell in defeat 14-13 to the Austin Hipsters at Philip Banks Field. The 19-year-old center fielder told reporters in the postgame interview, "This was quite a day for me individually, but a little disheartening at the same time. It would have been very special, if we had won the game." Jesús Lópes singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th, walked in the 10th and singled in the 12th.
This season Lópes is batting .284 with 62 RBIs, 91 runs scored and 7 home runs.
