Reliever Barrón Top BOL Pitcher in August Thursday, September 1st, 2022 Any time a rookie makes a splash on the scene, it's got to be great for his career potential. Just ask Norberto Barrón, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The New Orleans Jedi Knights closer, 21, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .182 average and walked away with the Buck O'Neil League Pitcher of the Month award for August. Barrón posted a 1-0 mark and a 1.23 ERA in 15 relief appearances. In 14.2 innings, he had 11 saves, 26 strikeouts, and 3 walks. Barrón has made 53 games so far this year with 29 saves. In 52.1 innings he has dished out 86 strikeouts and walked 17 with a 2-6 mark and a 2.92 ERA. |
