Pittman Put in Cooler, Hitless Against New Orleans
Sunday, August 14th, 2022
The hitting streak that Westside right fielder Jon Pittman had going was ended today by the New Orleans Jedi Knights. Pittman, who had hits in his previous 22 games, was stymied today, but the rest of his team picked him up, earning the Road Warriors a 5-4 victory at Road Warriors Field. He was hitless in 1 at-bat.
"Hitting streaks come and go. One good thing came out of it, however, it perked up my batting average a little bit, but did put a little pressure on me. It's hard to be natural at the plate with the streak always in the back of your mind. If it had to end, I'm glad it was in a win."
Posting a .423 batting average to date, Pittman has 8 home runs and 65 RBIs.
