Figueroa Batters Whitewater Big Time Saturday, July 30th, 2022 Jorge Figueroa of the Sting was unstoppable in today's 10-1 victory over the Whitewater Eagles at Woodland Park. He battered them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. "Boy, I was on the mark today," said the Houston third baseman after the game. "I could see the ball real well. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-5 won't hurt your batting average like 0-5 will." Jorge Figueroa singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 8th. Figueroa is hitting at a .275 mark this season. His stats show 7 home runs, 54 RBIs and 60 runs scored. He has played 96 games for the Sting. |
