Cantú Blisters Austin Friday, July 22nd, 2022 On top of the West Virginia hit parade today was Roberto Cantú. He went to the plate 5 times and marched away with 5 hits, sparking the Dancin' Outlaws to a 13-3 victory over the Austin Hipsters. The sweet swinging right fielder told reporters, "Each time I went to the plate, I was thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere. When I focus on that, I usually have quality at-bats." The skipper of the Hipsters wailed to the press, "Too much plate. Not the way we planned it. Any hitter in the league will rip you when you do that." Roberto Cantú singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 7th and singled in the 9th. This year Cantú has hit at a .318 pace and produced 44 RBIs, 6 home runs and scored 56 runs. |
