Vela Stretches Hit String to 25

"Yeah, I kept my string going, but it would have been better to come away with a win," said Ramón Vela after the Chippewa River Chiefs fell 5-2 to San Angelo in Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium today.
The 19-year-old second baseman upped his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25 games with 1 hit in 3 at-bats. Ramón Vela flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th and grounded out in the 7th.
On the year Vela has hit .423 with 6 home runs, 22 RBIs and scored 13 runs.
