Pittman Sizzles with 31-Game Batting Streak Friday, July 8th, 2022 And the hits just keep on coming -- especially off the red-hot bat of Jon Pittman. The Road Warriors right fielder got 2 hits in 3 at-bats in today's 4-0 triumph over the Sanford Stingrays at Road Warriors Field. Pittman has now hit safely in his last 31 games. Asked by the press, how it feels to go through something like this, he replied, "the longer it goes on, the more the pressure intensifies. The press coverage can get relentless at times. I wish I could just go out and play the game without all this distraction, but I know that's not going to happen. I know I will just have to grin and bear it." Jon Pittman singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, walked in the 5th and singled in the 7th.
