Vela Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games Sunday, July 3rd, 2022 "Things went well for me today. I got 2 hits and the streak is up to 20 games. But we didn't win the game. Those words were spoken by Ramón Vela of the Chippewa River Chiefs to BNN after his club dropped a 4-0 decision to Nichols. Ramón Vela grounded out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, walked in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Vela is hitting .452 so far this season with 19 RBIs and 11 runs scored.
