Miller Selected AHL's Best Pitcher Friday, July 1st, 2022 Any time a rookie makes a splash on the scene, it's got to be great for his career potential. Just ask Ricky Miller, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The Westside Road Warriors reliever, 19, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .119 average and walked away with the August Herrman League Pitcher of the Month award for June. Miller posted a 6-0 mark and a 1.71 ERA in 14 relief appearances. In 21 innings, he had 1 save, 31 strikeouts, and 11 walks. To date in the season, Miller is 7-0 with 24 relief appearances and 2 saves. He has held opposing batters to a .154 average, pitched 41.2 innings, struck out 66 and walked 21 while recording a 1.73 ERA. |
