Rosário Goes 5-7 Wednesday, June 29th, 2022 It was a hits blitz for Carlos Rosário at Hipster Grounds. The Houston Sting first baseman tore into Austin for 5 hits in 7 at-bats to pace the Sting to a 10-9 victory and wrote his name into the baseball record book. The manager for the Hipsters bemoaned his pitching, saying, "We fell behind and weren't locating well. Once you get behind in the count, you have to make real good pitches, rather than good pitches, and we weren't able to do that today." He added, "Not to take anything away from Rosário, but bad location was the story of the ballgame. That's why we lost the game." Carlos Rosário doubled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 5th, struck out in the 7th, hit an RBI double in the 8th, singled in the 10th and singled in the 12th. For the year Rosário is batting .313 with 19 home runs. |
