Gabriel Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits Saturday, June 11th, 2022 Alejandro Gabriel told the press after his 5-hit day, "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate. He wants to hit the ball hard." Well, that's just what Gabriel of the St. Paul Saints did against the Bethesda Hornets. He went to the plate 5 times and 5 times he delivered base hits, much to the chagrin of the Hornets, who suffered a 8-6 defeat. "Not much that I can say," offered the losing manager, "he just hammered the heck out of us." Alejandro Gabriel doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th and singled in the 8th. This year Gabriel is hitting .287 with 1 home run and 17 RBIs in 45 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .387 with 23 walks and 25 runs scored. |
