Hornets Maddy Smacks 5 Hits Wednesday, May 4th, 2022 It was high-5 day at Hornets Field, at least for Dominic Maddy of the Bethesda Hornets. He got a lot of high-5's from his teammates for his outstanding hitting against the West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws. Maddy smashed 5 hits in 5 at-bats on his record-setting day, leading his club to a 17-3 win. His manager said, "Dominic was hitting everything. It really was a special game for him." In the other dugout the opposing manager told BNN beat writers, "He ambushed my boys today. Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but luckily, tomorrow is another day. Hopefully it will be our day to shine." Dominic Maddy hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, walked in the 6th and singled in the 7th. This season Maddy has banged out 25 hits in 94 at-bats for a .266 average with no home runs. He is getting on base at a .300 pace and his totals also include 9 RBIs and 13 runs scored. |
