Millard Boyd Hurt, Out 8 Months Sunday, October 3rd, 2021 The Sting received bad news this morning. Millard Boyd will miss 8 months due to radial nerve compression. He sustained the injury in the Houston-Bethesda game while throwing a pitch. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. "You can't help your team on the bench," Boyd sighed. "I'll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery." His stats sheet for the year shows Boyd has managed to hold opponents to a .185 average in 19 relief appearances, while putting up 3-1 record with 54 strikeouts and 22 walks in 37.2 innings. He has a 2.87 ERA with 1 save. |
