Antoine Super -- No-Hits Sanford Wednesday, September 1st, 2021 Whitewater is abuzz in the wake of a masterful no-hitter by Bernard Antoine against the Sanford Stingrays. In a dominating 8-0 performance at Baylor Ballpark, the 23-year-old hurler had 13 strikeouts and 4 walks. Not one batter managed a hit. The Sanford manager said after the game, "You could tell early on it was going to be a long day for us. He made us look real bad. He was that good. And still going strong at the end of the game." "Yeah, this was a special day for me," said Antoine. "I had my good stuff and good movement... good location, too. Even when I was off and made a mistake, I got away with it today." To date this year, Antoine shows a 9-8 record, 24 starts, 140 innings, 149 strikeouts and a 4.24 ERA. |
