Soto 5-5 Against Palm Beach Wednesday, August 11th, 2021 All game long Beach City's José Soto was rattling the walls at Envoys Ballpark and banging out base hits against the Palm Beach Bums. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Seals had a 10-5 victory. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 21-year-old second baseman said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." José Soto hit a two-run home run off Travis Smith in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This season Soto has delivered 51 hits in 152 at-bats for a .336 average with 4 home runs. He is getting on base at a .417 clip and his totals also include 17 RBIs and 27 runs scored.
