Eagles Rodríguez Suspended 2 Games Sunday, August 1st, 2021 Iván Rodríguez of Whitewater got more than he bargained for when he was ejected for arguing a third strike call in yesterday's game against the Coney Island Cyclones. It turns out that the ejection wasn't the end of it. Today, the league decided to suspend Rodríguez for 2 games for his actions which included a rant filled with inappropriate language and throwing equipment on the field once he returned to the dugout. "Players need to show more restraint on the field," the league's announcement said. "Rodríguez obviously crossed the line and we had to take the proper action against him." Presently Rodríguez is hitting .234 with 2 home runs and 12 RBIs. He has played in 44 games and scored 20 times. |
