Rea Nabs AHL #1 Pitcher Award Sunday, August 1st, 2021 In July, Iván Rea tore through the August Herrman League like a seasoned veteran -- quite impressive for a player only 21 years old. The young Sanford starter posted a 4-0 mark and an ERA of 2.55 to earn the Pitcher of the Month award. In 35.1 innings he collected 25 strikeouts while limiting the opposition to a .228 average. In 10 starts this season, Rea has recorded 5 wins and absorbed 1 loss. He has pitched 67 innings, allowed 55 hits, struck out 58 and has a 3.22 ERA. |
