New Orleans's Tanaka BOL's Best Monday, July 5th, 2021 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Buck O'Neil League, but last week Masami Tanaka of the New Orleans Jedi Knights reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Tanaka rocked opposing pitching for a .615 average (16-26), no home runs and 11 RBIs to come away with the award. On the year Tanaka is hitting .318 with 102 hits, 10 home runs, 69 RBIs, .359 OBP and has scored 53 runs. |
