AHL Names Top Player of the Week Monday, June 28th, 2021 19-year-old Ricardo Villa made a few Palm Beach headlines during this past week as the rookie shortstop proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and August Herrman League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 12 hits in 30 at-bats to put up a .400 average. Villa collected 1 home run, 10 RBIs and scored 5 runs. Presently Villa is batting .270 with 65 hits and 5 home runs. He has knocked in 31 runs and scored 46 times. |
