Friday, November 7th, 2025
The future looks extremely bright for John Oakes. At the age of 22, many players are still trying to find their way in DOUBLE A.
Oakes has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the Alexander Cartwright League Silver Slugger Award.
"I didn't expect to hit .328 this year, that's for sure," the second baseman said.
The Pacifica Shamrocks star also put up a .405 on-base percentage this year, with 191 hits, 45 doubles, 3 triples, 13 home runs, 81 RBIs and 89 runs scored.
Jérémy Robin of the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats finished second in voting, while Monte Irvin of the Pacifica Shamrocks finished third.
