Wednesday, October 1st, 2025
Any time a rookie makes a splash on the scene, it's got to be great for his career potential. Just ask Dick Wassenaer, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The Pacifica Shamrocks reliever, 26, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .171 average and walked away with the Alexander Cartwright League Pitcher of the Month award for September.
Wassenaer posted a 4-0 mark and a 1.80 ERA in no relief appearances. In 40 innings, he had no saves, 38 strikeouts, and 14 walks.
On the year, Wassenaer has recorded 1 save with a 7-2 record over 109.1 innings. He has mowed down 116 batters on strikes and walked 47 with an ERA of 3.62.
