Great Stroke: Meaker Gets 5 Hits Thursday, September 4th, 2025 Jacksonville shortstop Spencer Meaker really lit up the Newark Jail Birds with a 5-hit barrage today at Hellcats Park -- a performance that sparked the Hellcats to a 3-2 triumph. He shrugged off the performance after the game and said, "Sometimes the ball finds outfielders, today the ball found some holes." Spencer Meaker hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 10th. This season Meaker is hitting .290 with 150 hits, 14 home runs, 96 RBIs, scored 60 runs and played in 131 games. |
