Phoenix's Osewe Top Pitcher in August Monday, September 1st, 2025 There's something about a young rookie winning the Ford Frick League Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with Ayan Osewe, a 21-year-old starter for the Phoenix Lights. In August, he topped off the month with a 4-0 mark and 1.14 ERA in 5 starts, tossed 31.2 innings, fanned 37 and held opposing teams to a .194 average. Osewe has posted a 11-2 record for the year with a 3.24 ERA. Teams are hitting .250 against him and he has rung up 148 strikeouts in 133.1 innings. |
