League Suspends Goers Lewis 3 Games Monday, August 18th, 2025 Temple's Wayne Lewis has been given a 3-game suspension for his outburst following an ejection in a recent game with the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats at Bloomfield Road. He was called out on a third strike by the plate umpire and halted the game to argue about it. The disgusted Lewis slowly walked back to the dugout with bat in hand, but suddenly turned around and headed toward the umpire. He was stopped by the on-deck hitter and third base coach as his manager continued to argue the call. A moment later, Lewis was ejected. Currently Lewis is batting .227 with 40 hits and 3 home runs. He has knocked in 28 runs and scored 17 times. |
