Delgado 5-for-8 for Goers Friday, July 18th, 2025 "It was almost like batting practice. I saw the ball very well and could just about hit it anywhere I wanted." That's what Temple catcher Jesús Delgado said to BNN reporters after his fantastic 5-for-8 day against the Newark Jail Birds at Cobras Ballpark. "I got some good counts and used the whole field." The Goers had a good day, too, and won the ballgame 14-11. Jesús Delgado singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Manuel Romero in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, singled in the 8th, hit an RBI double in the 9th, flied out in the 11th and flied out in the 12th. Delgado has a .305 average and a .402 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 29 hits, 3 home runs and driven in 13 runs. |
