Nishida Has 20-Game Hitting Streak Friday, July 11th, 2025 An opposing pitcher told BNN after the Buzzard's Bay-Newark game today, "Terumoto Nishida is hitting everything you throw at him. He is one tough out. Fortunately things went our way in the ballgame today and we came away with a 4-3 win. But Nishida still continued his streak." The Jail Birds shortstop now has hit safely in his last 20 games. He was 1-for-5 in today's contest. Terumoto Nishida struck out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and grounded out in the 10th. Thus far this season Nishida is hitting .240 with 3 home runs, 25 RBIs and 43 runs scored. He has 69 hits in 287 at-bats and has played in 71 games. |
