Long Island's Estrada Down with Injury
Sunday, June 15th, 2025
The Long Island Ducks learned that Ricardo Estrada is likely to be out for 5 months after he injured himself throwing a pitch in today's game against the Phoenix Lights. A round of tests by the team doctor revealed the injury to be a torn labrum. Upon hearing the diagnosis, the Long Island manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Ricardo is back in action."

For the year, Estrada has collected no saves in 9 relief appearances. He has also rung up 27 strikeouts and 15 walks in 36.2 innings while registering a 6.14 ERA and a 2-0 won-lost mark.
