FFL Relief Ace Valentín Named Best Hurler Sunday, June 1st, 2025 Any time a rookie makes a splash on the scene, it's got to be great for his career potential. Just ask José Valentín, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The Spokane Bulldogs reliever, 23, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .159 average and walked away with the Ford Frick League Pitcher of the Month award for May. Valentín posted a 3-0 mark and a 0.76 ERA in no relief appearances. In 35.1 innings, he had no saves, 41 strikeouts, and 18 walks. Valentín has earned no saves and a 4-2 mark this season with a 2.72 earned run average in no relief appearances. He has worked 56.1 innings, yielded 41 hits, struck out 58 batters and walked 32. |
