Wolthuis Goes 5-for-6 Monday, May 5th, 2025 If just anyone could go out and hit a baseball, big dollar contracts wouldn't exist. But they can't, so the good hitters get the big bucks. Volmer Wolthuis showed how it's done as he went 5 for 6 against the Frisco Rams and helped the Pacifica Shamrocks beat them 12-6. The manager for the Rams told the BNN sportswriters, "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it. That's the game of baseball. Don't make mistakes and you win a lot more ballgames." If Wolthuis keeps hitting like this, he could be headed for a big pay raise. Volmer Wolthuis hit a two-run single in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run single in the 9th. Currently Wolthuis is batting .302 with 1 home run, 13 RBIs and 10 runs scored. |
