There are moments in a player's career that are etched into their memories forever. Teruo Sato of the Boise Hawks had one of those moments when he went 5 for 5 at the plate today in the 10-3 win over the Spokane Bulldogs at The Kennel. The 18-year-old center fielder told reporters in the postgame interview, "This is a day I won't forget soon, but I'll settle to just get a hit or two every day... enough hits to hang around the league a little bit longer... like 10... 15 more years maybe." Teruo Sato singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Felipe Pérez in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
So far this season Sato has gotten 16 hits in 49 at-bats for a .327 batting average with 1 home run. His stats include 9 RBIs and 9 runs scored. He has played in 12 games.
